Secondary Education

Secondary Education degrees prepare students to teach at the junior and senior high school levels (grades 6-12). Students choose one content area to concentrate in from English and Language Arts, Social Science, General Science and Mathematics.  Classes are offered face-to-face, online, and in a hybrid format (a combination of both online and face-to-face delivery methods).  An Art Education program is also available, which includes a P-12 certification.

English and Language Arts
A Secondary Education English Language Arts degree prepares students to teach English Language Arts in the area of English, Theatre, Communication, and Journalism at the middle, junior, and senior high school levels (grades 6-12).

A Secondary Education General Science degree prepares students to teach general science courses in the areas of chemistry, earth & space science, physics, and biology at the middle, junior, and senior high school levels (grades 6-12).
